From its spot on a peninsula on the north end of Lake Tenkiller, Cherokee Landing State Park is a perfect home base for a weekend of lake fun. Anglers love the fishing dock and easy watercraft access to Tenkiller, where the crystal-clear waters have earned the lake quite a reputation for big-time bass fishing.

🎣 Tenkiller Fishing Report – May 31 🎣

Lake Tenkiller is at normal elevation, the water temperature is 74°F, and water clarity is clear.

🐟 Largemouth Bass: Fair on buzz baits, crankbaits, jerk baits, plastic baits, and spinnerbaits around brush, coves, creek channels, docks, rocks, and standing timber.

🐟 Catfish: Good on chicken liver, cut bait, hot dogs, stinkbait, and worms around channels, flats, the main lake, and riprap.

🐟 White Bass: Slow on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, and spoons around coves, creek channels, the main lake, and river channels.

Fishing success varied this week, but anglers are still finding fish on the lake. Get out and enjoy beautiful Lake Tenkiller!

🎣 Fishing Report Update May 25th, 2026

Lake elevation is 1 ft. above normal and stable, with water temperatures around 73°F and clear conditions.

🐟 Bass fishing is good around brush structure, coves, creek channels, rocks, and standing timber using Alabama rigs, crankbaits, live bait, plastic baits, and spinnerbaits.

🐟 Catfish are biting well around channels, flats, the main lake, riprap, and river channels using goldfish, hot dogs, shad, and worms.

🐟 Crappie fishing is fair around brush structure, coves, docks, and standing timber using hair jigs, minnows, and small lures.

Fishing Report May 12 🎣

Lake elevation is 2 feet above normal and stable, with stained water and temperatures around 66°F. (USACE Lake Level)

Largemouth bass are fair around coves, docks, w**d beds, and the main lake using Alabama rigs, crankbaits, live bait, rogues, and spinnerbaits.

Blue, channel, and flathead catfish are good on chicken liver, cut bait, shad, and worms around creek channels, coves, flats, sandbars, and the main lake.

Black and white crappie are fair near brush piles, docks, coves, and standing timber using minnows, hair jigs, crankbaits, and small lures.

Fishing Report – April 26 🎣

Lake level is 2 ft above normal (stable) with water temps around 59°F. Water is murky.

Bass: Fair around brush, coves, and timber on crankbaits, jigs, and spinnerbaits.
Catfish: Good around channels and points using goldfish, shad, worms, and stinkbait.
Crappie: Slow around brush and standing timber on jigs and minnows.

⚠️ Boaters should watch for floating debris due to recent rainfall and runoff.

🎣 Fishing Report for Lake Tenkiller – April 19

Elevation is 1 ft above normal (stable) and water temperature is 63°F with stained conditions.

• Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass: Good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, minnows, and spinnerbaits around brush structure, coves, creek channels, and points.
• Catfish (Blue, Channel, Flathead): Good on cut bait, goldfish, hot dogs, shad, and stinkbait around coves, flats, sandbars, and river channels.
• Crappie (Black & White): Fair on jigs, minnows, and small lures around brush structure, coves, docks, and standing timber.
