The roar of engines breaks the stillness of the Old Lead Belt at St. Joe State Park, one of two off-road vehicle parks in the state park system. The many trails set aside for off-road vehicle use make the park the premiere off-road vehicle area. The park also features four lakes, two swimming beaches, equestrian trails, a hiking and bicycling trail, a water trail, and picnic sites, as well as two campgrounds capable of accommodating campers with ORV or horse trailers.

Please be advised that the park will transition to its off-season water schedule beginning November 2.

During this time, the showerhouses and flushable restrooms will be closed. Frost-free water spigots will remain available in both campgrounds.

Off Season hours and operations begin Oct. 1st.

The day use area including all 4 lakes, shelters and ORV Area will be open 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The ORV contact station in the staging area will be open Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-3:00pm for permit purchases.

Monday-Friday, permits must be purchased at the park office from 7:00am-3:00pm.

Showerhouse will remain open in the campground until Nov. 1.
