Scheduled for the Week of September 14, 2026

Key Details:
- $10 fee required
- Registration & payment deadline: Friday, September 11, 2026
- Items must be curbside by Monday morning
- Weight limits: 1/2 ton total, no single item over 250 lbs.

Important Notes:
- Appliances with Freon must have compressors removed
- No vegetative matter, tires, batteries, hazardous materials, or construction debris
- Curbside placement only (no alley or side-street pickup)

*PLEASE NOTE: BULK TRASH MAY NOT BE PICKED UP ON MONDAY, DUE TO MONDAY'S DOUBLE TRASH ROUTE. THEY DO HAVE UNTIL FRIDAY TO GET EVERYONE ON THE LIST PICKED UP!

Items being set out for bulk pickup can be set out starting the weekend before bulk pickup starts. All items MUST be set out by 7:00 a.m. on Monday of the week of pickup. Only 1 stop per address. Once items are picked up, the guys will not stop again, so please don't set anything out after they do the pickup.

🇺🇸 LABOR DAY CLOSURE & TRASH COLLECTION NOTICE 🇺🇸

In observance of Labor Day, all City of Park Hills offices will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7.

🗑️ TRASH COLLECTION SCHEDULE CHANGE

Residents who normally have trash collected on Monday, September 7 will instead have their trash collected on Tuesday, September 8.

👉 Please be sure to have your trash set out and ready for collection by 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

City offices will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Day! 🇺🇸

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE — THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 🚧

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, September 3, 2026, the following streets will be temporarily closed:

🔴 Fite Street from N. Firman Street to N. Smith Street
🔴 N. Smith Street from Fite Street to the alleyway behind West Elementary’s White Gym

The closures are necessary while a crane is used to replace one of the school’s air-conditioning units. The streets will reopen as soon as the work is completed.

Please avoid the area if possible and use extra caution if traveling nearby. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

🥵☀️ HEAT ADVISORY: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY ☀️🥵

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for St. Francois County beginning Monday, August 31 at Noon and continuing through Friday, September 4 at 8:00 p.m.

🌡️ Heat index values of 100° to 105° are expected for several consecutive days. Overnight temperatures will also remain warm, with morning lows only dropping into the 70s.

With several days of dangerous heat ahead, please take precautions:

💧 Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty.
❄️ Spend as much time as possible in air-conditioned areas.
☀️ Avoid strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
👵 Check on elderly family members, neighbors, and others who may be especially vulnerable to the heat.
🐾 Make sure pets have plenty of fresh water and a cool, shaded place to stay.
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.
👷 If you must work outdoors, take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat illness. If someone becomes overwhelmed by the heat, move them to a cool, shaded location immediately. Heat stroke is a medical emergency; call 911.

Please plan ahead for the extended heat and take care of yourselves and one another, Park Hills! 💙
