Tonight we explored what grief looked like with Legos. We built a representation of our grief freely and discussed the difficulties with building that representation with no directions or help and how grief can be very similar. We then had some time to build with instruction, for one they had to tear apart what they previously built, from another they received more prices for a free build. We likened this sometimes with grief we have help, we have groups/guides/journals/friends/family to help us, and sometimes we have more pieces to help us grow (coping skills). It is such an inspiring time to be with young people in their grief and see them process in different ways and also hear their insights.
