The Maine Township Highway Department was out last night salting heavily in anticipation for today's and the coming next day's/week's precipitation changes and temperature fluctuations.

Please make sure to limit time on the road and exercise caution when you do have to go out. When possible, clear snow and slush from hard surfaces to avoid ice accumulations and dangerous slippery conditions.

Lastly, please make sure to take notice of tow and snow route signs on the road.

Stay safe everyone!

These last few years have been difficult ones, leaving many families struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living. That is why I am partnering with Maine Township Trustee Asif Malik to host a turkey giveaway to benefit residents in need of a helping hand. The giveaway will be held on Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maine Township Hall, located at 1700 Ballard Rd. in Park Ridge. Turkeys will be available for families in need while supplies last.
