We are incredibly grateful to the Animal Relief Fund Inc. for their generous donation of four Fido Bags to Buckskin Fire District.

These kits will be placed on ours and Parker fire apparatus, giving our crews additional resources to assist our four-legged family members during emergencies.

We would also like to thank The Fetch Foundation for helping make this donation possible. Support from organizations like these allows our firefighters to be better prepared to protect every member of our community—both two-legged and four-legged.

From all of us at Buckskin Fire District, thank you for supporting our firefighters and the communities we serve.

ARF was proud to donate 4 Fido Bags to Buckskin Fire District to help our local firefighters be prepared when four-legged friends need a little extra help during an emergency. 🐶🐱🔥 All of the fire trucks in La Paz County will now have a Fido Bag onboard!

Because when the call comes in, our firefighters don’t just save people… they save our furry family members too! 🐾❤️

A HUGE thank-you to the The Fetch Foundation for helping make our donation possible and to the amazing men and women of the Buckskin Fire Department for protecting our community—two-legged AND four-legged! 👨‍🚒🐾

ARF is proud to support those who protect our community and the animals we love! ❤️🐕🐈

Buckskin Fire District Deploys Type 3 Engine to Campwood Fire

Buckskin Fire District is sending a Type 3 engine and crew to the Campwood Fire in Yavapai County to assist with ongoing wildland fire operations.

The Campwood Fire was reported on August 23, approximately five miles northeast of Bagdad, after a lightning-producing storm. As of August 26, the fire is estimated at approximately 176 acres with 0% containment. Fire officials have reported extreme fire behavior, including flame lengths of up to 100 feet and spotting more than 100 yards ahead of the main fire. Crews are working in steep, rugged terrain and improving containment lines while fire managers utilize additional tactics to bring the fire under control.

Representing Buckskin Fire District on this assignment:

Engine Boss: Jason Weatherford
Engine Boss Trainee: Evan Foster
Firefighter II: Armando Deleon
Seasonal Firefighter: Justin D’Amico

We are proud of this crew and their commitment to serving our community while assisting our regional fire partners. We wish them a safe and successful assignment.

Stay safe, stay focused, and represent Buckskin Fire District well.

Buckskin Fire District personnel continue supporting operations on the Pocket Fire during the night shift. As of today, the fire has grown to approximately 25,160 acres and is 38% contained. Firefighters continue to make progress securing containment lines along the northern portion of the fire while challenging terrain remains a concern on the southern edge near Seven Canyons.

On Day 3, our crew assisted with a burnout operation on the north side of the fire to help strengthen containment lines. Throughout the assignment, they have been assigned to the Seven Canyons area since day 4, monitoring fire activity overnight, identifying hotspots, and supporting efforts to keep the fire within established containment objectives.

We appreciate the dedication of our personnel as they continue working alongside firefighters from across the region to protect communities.

Buckskin Fire District would like to wish Firefighter Jesse Escobar a safe assignment as he deploys on preposition to the Phoenix area.

Jesse will be assisting with increased fire readiness due to Red Flag Warning conditions and the anticipated rise in wildfire activity associated with Fourth of July fireworks. We appreciate his commitment to protecting Arizona's communities and wish him a safe and successful deployment.
