At our last Town Council meeting we proudly recognize Keith Rather and Jonathan Ferris for receiving Life Saving Awards for their courageous and selfless actions during a recent emergency incident.

When a volunteer at the La Paz County Animal Shelter was seriously injured in a dog attack, Keith acted immediately without hesitation. Hearing the victim’s screams from a nearby work site, he rushed to help, secured the aggressive dog, and helped prevent even more severe injuries. His calm leadership and quick thinking played a critical role until emergency responders arrived.

Jonathan is also being recognized for his dedication, bravery, and commitment to protecting and serving others in a time of crisis.

Both men demonstrated extraordinary courage, composure, and compassion under pressure. Their actions are a true reflection of the values that make our community strong.
Please join us in congratulating Keith and Jonathan on these well-deserved Life Saving Awards and thanking them for their outstanding service to the Town of Parker and our community.

If you have any information about who may be responsible, please contact the Parker Arizona Police Department. Even small details can help.

Let’s work together to keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone.
