We're thankful for the 554 Foundation's continued support to all law enforcement in La Paz County. Mike was dedicated to the residents of La Paz County both on and off duty. We are honored that Officer Romo was selected by his peers to be the first recipient of this award.

We’re proud to announce Officer Caysen Romo as the first ever recipient of our Be Like Mike award!

Caysen stands out for the same qualities that defined Mike - strong work ethic, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to his colleagues and the community. He’s proactive, shows up the right way every time, and leads by example. Not just a great officer, but a genuinely good human. The kind of person people point to and say, “that’s like Mike.”

This award is built on your voices. Nominations are blindly judged, so the more detail you include about why someone embodies Mike’s character, the better.

If you know a first responder who deserves recognition, we want to hear about them. All first responders qualify, not just law enforcement!

Submit nominations to: [email protected]

Help us continue recognizing those who truly live out what it means to Be Like Mike.

***UPDATE - 3:15PM***

The individuals in this matter have been identified. Due to their tribal status, this case has been forwarded to the Colorado River Indian Tribes Police Department.

The Town of Parker and all of our partnering agencies and organizations put in a lot of hard work to improve and enhance the amenities around town so everyone can enjoy them. Specifically the Town of Parker Public Works Department, who works daily in all weather conditions to ensure the streets, sidewalks, and parks are clean and safe to use. The men and women of that department are the ones who are called upon at all hours of the day to repair damaged infrastructure, clean messes, and make sure public property is safe for the public to use again.

The Town has spent thousands of dollars in the form of grants and direct tax revenue from citizens to ensure everyone can enjoy our parks and ballfields. Because of incidents like this, the Town has to spend more money to keep repairing destroyed property. These are tax payer dollars that should be spent elsewhere to further the Town's mission of providing quality community resources and being fiscally responsible with public money.

I wish this was the only incident but the unfortunately it is not. Far to often, this happens at all of our parks. While we do our best to patrol the parks and to try to deter this sort of activity, it still happens.

We ask everyone to please help our town beautiful, clean and safe. If you see anything out of the ordinary or see individuals damaging property, please call us immediately. Like you, we live here too and want to make sure we keeping our town and amenities safe and clean.

On February 18th, 2026, the women's restroom at Pop Harvey Park was damaged at approximately 8 pm. We are seeking the public's help in identifying these two individuals who were the last ones in the restroom before the fire started. If anyone has any information, please contact the Parker Police Department at 928.669.2264 or Central Dispatch at 928.669.2281.
