🚧Road work notice for Turner County travelers:🚧

Micro seal work will begin Saturday, May 30, on the following roads:

• 288th Street – Swan Lake Oil area starting Saturday morning
• 283rd Street (Road 36 North Hurley Oil) starting Saturday afternoon

Work is expected to continue through Monday and Tuesday as crews complete the project. Motorists should expect delays, loose gravel, reduced speeds, and changing road conditions in the work zones. Please use caution, slow down, and give workers and equipment plenty of space.

Thank you for your patience while these road improvements are being completed.

5-17-26: Turner and Hutchinson County, please use extreme caution when traveling, especially in rural areas. Quick, heavy rains may be running over roads and leave the possibility of washouts. Also use caution, especially in the Menno, Freeman and Olivet areas for power line issues.

THURSDAY MORNING UPDATE: Severe weather risks continue to increase for SUNDAY and MONDAY. The greatest focus for higher end storms is starting to appear from mid-afternoon Sunday into early Monday morning.

If you have outdoor plans either of these days, you need to start monitoring the forecast now. We'll continue to provide updates over the upcoming days on timing and potential severity.
