Welcome to the Wood-Washington-Wirt Interstate Planning Commission (WWW) home on Facebook. WWW is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Parkersburg, WV-Marietta, OH urbanized area which oversees the use of Federal funds for transportation projects. The WWW designated study area expands beyond the urban area boundary to encompass all of Wood County, West Virginia, and portions of Was

hington County, Ohio; including the townships of Newport, Marietta, Fearing, Muskingum, Warren, Dunham and Belpre. Initially, Wirt County, West Virginia was included in both the Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and the transportation planning study area. When the Census Bureau excluded Wirt County from the MSA during the 1980 census, the county was eliminated from the study area. However, the official name of the organization remained the same. Check here for public notices for the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) updates, Long Range Transportation Plan updates, and other projects WWW is working on.

After several months of work with EcoInteractive, WWW is pleased to announce the launch of the WWW Interstate Planning Commission’s new Project Tracker (eTIP) platform.

A full demonstration of the eTIP will be a part of the March 18 Policy Board meeting, but the public-facing site is available now for anyone to explore.

The public facing side of the eTIP includes:

Projects: List of all projects in the Adopted TIP.

Plan Revisions: View the annually adopted TIP and subsequent amendments and modifications.

Projects by County: Filter projects by the county they are taking place in.

Interactive Map: Filter projects by attribute, and zoom to the location of projects.

This new platform greatly expands how project information can be viewed and shared. Users can search and filter projects, see project details more easily, and follow how projects move through the TIP. It also provides a centralized place for future public comments related to TIP amendments.
