Updates on summer EBT.

The West Virginia Department of Human Services’ Bureau for Family Assistance needs to clarify an error that appeared on our website regarding Summer EBT benefit distribution.

The May 24, 2026, issuance date was incorrect and did not reflect the actual timing for benefit distribution.

Summer EBT benefits are expected to be issued on June 1, 2026.

We understand this has caused confusion and concern, and we apologize for the error.
