Summer Reading is completed! See some of the pictures from the different programs offered. We are grateful for our long-standing partnership with Aplington Legion Memorial Library in bringing programs to the community during the summer. Thanks to all our supporters and volunteers as we could not offer these programs without their help.

LIBBY LOG IN ERROR:

If you are having trouble with Libby, you will need to remove your card in Libby, then add it again. Your loans and holds will reappear on your Shelf () when you re-add your card.

Follow these Steps to remove and add your card:
Tap , then Manage Cards (under "Your Libraries").
Tap Actions > Remove Card > Yes, Remove Card for each one.
Tap Add A Card and sign in again.

If you are having further issues after doing this, please call the Library and we can get in touch with someone who will be able to look closer at your account.

We partnered with the Parkersburg Historical Society for a grant and the Historical Society was awarded this HRDP Grant from the State of Iowa. The Society has in their possession 611 back issues of the Parkersburg Eclipse dating from 1875 with issues up to 1917. None of these pages had ever been microfilmed in past projects and it was a treat to be able to contribute these pages to be preserved for all to enjoy. The papers have been delivered to Advantage Archives in Cedar Rapids and will be microfilmed and digitized within the next few weeks. Once that process is complete, they will be added to the digital archive collection found on the Kothe Memorial Library website and can be searched by keyword or by individual pages. This project fills in a very important gap in the historical record of Parkersburg's history during the 1880's up through the early 1900's. We are very appreciative to the Iowa State Historical Society for selecting this project. Kothe Memorial Library was happy to partner with the Parkersburg Historical Society to complete this collection. We also want to give a huge shout out to Christa Hanson, volunteer, who was the lead grant writer in this project due to the short term around time we had.
