The Chester County Prison Board has appointed Brian Sheller as Warden for Chester County Prison. Sheller has served as Acting Warden since March and prior to that was Deputy Warden since 2024. Before joining the County, Sheller served as Police Chief of the Parkesburg Borough’s Police Department for more than 30 years.

TORNADO WATCH ISSUED!!

⚠️⛈️🌪️ A Tornado Watch has been issued for portions of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania until 9 PM EDT. Thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will be capable of producing damaging winds, tornadoes, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

Announcing the 2nd Annual Battle of the Boroughs!

This friendly competition between Atglen, Christiana & Parkesburg raised 5,654 pounds of food donations for the Octorara Area Food Cupboard last summer!

We took home the trophy last year, but it was a close one!

We need your help again this year!

Collections start on Wednesday, June 24 and end at National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th.

Donation drop-off locations include:

🏆Flowers in Bloom
🏆Salon Boninu
🏆Fill This Cup
🏆KVFD* (during daytime hours)
🏆VFW* (starting in July)
🏆Grocery Outlet* (until July)

*Grocery Outlet is committed to another food drive in July
*VFW can start our food drive in July.
*KVFD is available for drop off during the day generally from 8 to 5, if members are in the building and not called out for an emergency.
