Support for K-9 Obie

We would like to thank our wonderful community for their outpouring of support for K-9 Obie, who was wounded in the line of duty yesterday. We are happy to report he made it through the evening as comfortably as possible, and is continuing his recovery at the veterinary hospital, where he is receiving the highest quality care.

Our hearts are so warmed in response to the many inquiries regarding how to contribute towards Obie’s care. MCSO’s K-9 unit is chiefly funded by community donations to the Madera County Sheriff’s Foundation. For anyone who would like to support Obie and our K-9 unit during this time, a tax deductible donation can be made to the Madera County Sheriff’s Foundation*.
