🔨✨ Building Brighter Futures! ✨🔨

A special shoutout to Cesar Peña and Gonzalo Tijerina, aka “Charlie,” from our Maintenance Department for their hard work updating the former Migrant Day Care Center, now officially part of the San Joaquin Valley High School campus!

Parlier Unified has invested significant resources to transform this facility into a new main office, additional space for employees and resource providers, and a multipurpose room/new cafeteria serving San Joaquin Valley High School and Parlier Adult School.

Thank you to new Principal Mr. Kenner Carlson, Cesar and Charlie, for helping us create improved spaces and Brighter Futures for our students and community! 🌟🐾 Go Lions! Parlier USD Keeps on Getting Better All the Time!

☀️📚 What a way to kick off the first day of school!

Today marked the First Day of School for the 2026–2027 school year!

We were excited to welcome CBS47 Fresno / KSEE24 News reporter Viviana Yvonne to Parlier High School this morning. Viviana spent time with our PHS Administration Team, PUSD Superintendent Dr. Rafael Iñiguez, and PHS ASB President Destiny G., helping us kick off the new school year with great conversations and excitement for what’s ahead!

A BIG thank you to our PHS Admin Team for starting their day bright and early and representing our district with pride! 🐾

And the excitement didn’t stop there! Our amazing PHS Cheer Team lined the entrance to welcome students, staff, and families with plenty of energy and school spirit!

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Parlier Police Department for their presence this morning and for helping keep our school sites safe as we welcomed everyone back.

Here’s to a fantastic start and Brighter Futures for every PUSD student!

🪴🍎 Learning, Growing, Improving: Secretary Bootcamp

As we get ready for the new school year, our school and department secretaries participated in Secretary Bootcamp, a professional learning opportunity focused on strengthening the important work they do every day.

This year’s training aligned with the work our Extended Cabinet leaders have been engaged in around Improvement Science and Continuous Improvement. During the morning session, Mrs. Felder-Guerrero, Executive Director of Educational Services, provided an overview of Improvement Science, followed by a hands-on activity focused on improving our Field Trip and Conference processes.

Our secretaries are an essential part of our school community. They are often the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, helping create a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment across our schools. Investing in their growth ensures they have the tools and knowledge to continue providing excellent service to our community.

A special thank you to Ashley Strassenburg, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, for coordinating Secretary Bootcamp and creating this valuable learning opportunity for our amazing secretaries!

Together, we continue building a culture of collaboration, growth, and Brighter Futures!
