Welcome to the official page of the Madison Park Volunteer Fire Company. MPVFC is a volunteer fire company located in Old Bridge Township, NJ. We operate one engine (Engine 407), one aerial (Ladder 408), one brush truck (Brush 414), and two commands vehicles (Chief 400 and Chief 420). We also work with Old Bridge Fire District #3 s Fire Prevention Bureau. We operate out of one station (41

9), which was built between 1956 and 1958 by our original members. Since that time, there have been several additions to the building over the years, including a fully functional training center. The Madison Park Volunteer Fire Company protects a population of about 15,000 in an area of approximately 2 square miles. Our primary coverage area includes Rt. 9, a major gas line station, several major big box type stores and various other businesses. We respond to approximately 120 alarms each year, ranging from vehicle accidents, carbon monoxide and fire alarms, smells of smoke, unknown odors, as well as any type of fire that occurs in our response area. MPVFC will also respond mutual aid into neighboring towns and fire districts when requested. Besides answering fire calls, the members are required to participate in training through out the year, and perform house duties weekly on Wednesday night. MPVFC also participates in many fund raising activities, township activities and public relations events.

Stay cool out there people. Weather does not stop your volunteers tho. Members of the Madison Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to a car fire earlier today on poor farm rd. All occupants were out of the car and were safe. Unfortunately the suv is a total loss. Just a reminder if you see emergency vehicles in the roadway and hose on the ground please do not try to drive towards them. Turn around and plan another route. We appreciate it very much. Driving over a hose can impede our progress and could get someone injured.

As a reminder——Please be safe out there today while enjoying your 4th of July. Be responsible when handling fireworks. They look nice but can be dangerous. Before placing used fireworks in your garbage cans soak them in water for a period of time. They may look out but with this temperature and items being extremely dry it creates conditions for a fire. Thanks everyone and be safe.

At the Williams pipeline facility, members took part in a drill that included a simulated shed fire, which was conducted without real flames. Members practiced stretching hose, pumping the engine, and using the aerial device and blitz fire hose lines to enhance their skills. Collaborating with local businesses is crucial for gaining practical experience with potential hazards. We are grateful to Williams Pipeline for allowing us to train at their facility and for their collaboration.
