Hydrant flushing begins September 8 and continues through September 25. You may notice temporary water discoloration or lower water pressure while crews are working.

Hydrant Flushing Begins September 8th

The Parma Fire Department will be conducting hydrant flushing and flow testing September 8 through September 25, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.

Residents may experience temporary discolored water or a drop in water pressure while testing is taking place.

Today, City of Parma dedicated a Safe Haven Baby Box at Parma Fire Department Station 3 on Ridge Road which proves a compassionate and anonymous option for a parent in crisis and another way for our community to help protect our most vulnerable.

No name. No blame. No shame.

The Safe Haven Baby Boxes offer a safe, confidential way for a parent to surrender a newborn while ensuring the baby receives immediate care from our first responders.

Back-to-school safety

📒🍎✏️ School is almost back in session! As students return to the classrooms, please remember that school buses will soon be back on our roads.

Let's all do our part to keep students safe by slowing down, staying alert, and following all school bus and school zone laws. Be especially mindful around bus stops, watch for children crossing the street, and be courteous to your school crossing guards.

A few extra seconds of patience can make a big difference. Let's start the school year safely and look out for one another! 🚌💙

🚨Friendly reminder: Photo enforcement cameras will be operational in active school zones. Warning signs, painted road markers, and flashing lights are present before a school zone to provide prior warning to driver's.
