On May 21 we held a successful CCBH Data Days event focused on the Child Fatality Review and Fetal Infant Mortality Review in Cuyahoga County. A big shout out to our three speakers, Erin Dodds, Holly Galicki and Alexis Ipsaro, who provided a moving and informative presentation.

New Overdose Surveillance Quarterly Bulletin now available, featuring January-March 2026 drug overdose data.

Cuyahoga County saw declines in overdose deaths, suspected overdose-related emergency department visits, and naloxone administrations by EMS from Q4 2025 to Q1 of 2026. Emerging adulterants from our local pilot drug checking program include medetomidine, BTMPS, and procaine. CCMEO reported that there were 363 drug overdose deaths for 2025, a 13% decrease from 2024 (lowest since the introduction of fentanyl in 2016).
