Parma-Sandstone Fire Department We are a paid on call fire department covering Parma and Sandstone townships and the Village of Parma. We average just under 1,000 calls for service per year.

Our response area is 72 square miles including 12 miles of I-94.

For all of you that complained about this past winter….we hope you are happy. For all the rest who have had enough of this heat already, come on down to the station on Wednesday and get cooled off. We will be launching 500 gallons per minute of cool refreshing water to soak the young and young at heart. All ages are welcome.

Could it possibly be true? Could those silly firefighters really commit to sitting out in the heat again? You heard it here first, we are committing to watering our lawn and if a bunch of kids happen to show up and run through it, I guess we just wouldn’t have the heart to stop it.
