☀️🚒 Splash Into Summer 🚒☀️

MSA is excited to partner with the Parris Island Fire Department for an afternoon full of family fun, water play, and community connection!

We’ll have:
💦 Water fun with the fire truck & fire hose
🛝 Inflatable water slides
🎉 Games & family-friendly activities
🍉 A community potluck

This event is designed for the whole family — so bring the kids, invite a friend, and get ready for a fun summer day together!

We’re also hosting a potluck-style meal and asking families to sign up using the Sign Up Genius so we can make sure we have a good variety of dishes for everyone to enjoy. You can access the sign-up by scanning the QR code on the flyer!

We can’t wait to splash, play, and kick off summer together! ☀️💛

This event is for authorized patrons to the Depot.

Today, on Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation and our communities.

This Memorial Day carries special meaning as the fire service mourns the loss of Boston Firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr., a former United States Marine, third-generation firefighter, and 24-year veteran of the Boston Fire Department, who died in the line of duty on May 23, 2026, while battling a three-alarm fire in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Firefighter Kilduff was known by his brothers and sisters in the fire service as “a firefighter’s firefighter” — someone who would do anything for others. Reports indicate that he helped save lives during rescue operations before suffering fatal injuries in the line of duty. He leaves behind a legacy of courage, service, and sacrifice that will never be forgotten.

The members of Parris Island Fire and Emergency Services stand in solidarity with the Boston Fire Department, the Kilduff family, and the entire fire service community during this difficult time.

Today, we remember our fallen military heroes, and we also honor those who continue to answer the call knowing the risks that come with serving others.

Rest easy, Marine and Firefighter. Your watch is complete.

Got little passengers riding with you? Stop by our FREE Car Seat Safety Event tomorrow from 1-3pm and let our EMS professionals help make sure your child’s car seat is installed correctly and safely.

Did you know? A large number of car seats are installed incorrectly — even by parents who followed the instructions carefully. A quick check could make a big difference.

Come see us, ask questions, and get peace of mind while you’re already out and about. Safety first for your smallest riders.

Fun fact: Your blood pressure can change throughout the day depending on stress, caffeine, sleep, exercise… and yes, probably that “quick trip” to the MCX that somehow turned into longer aisle gazing and a cart full of snacks.

Parris Island Fire & Emergency Services will be back at the MCX TODAY for our second round of FREE blood pressure checks from 1330–1500 during EMS Week!

Since you’re already stopping by for gas, snacks, or essentials, take a couple extra minutes to check in on your health too.

MCRD Parris Island Fire & Emergency Services was honored to host Commanding General Brig. Gen. Williamson and his (younger than him) wife for dinner at the fire station with our crew this evening.

Thank you, General, for taking the time to spend with our firefighters and for your continued support of Fire & Emergency Services over the past two years. Your leadership, encouragement, and commitment to our mission are greatly appreciated by every member of our department.

It was a great evening of fellowship, conversation, and camaraderie with the team that proudly serves MCRD Parris Island and the surrounding community.
