**PROJECT ALERT** For Artist August we want to see your art! Stop by the library for a fun new project! Color as many squares as you like and turn them in at the desk. Make sure to color all the way to the edge and to use many colors to create a color block. You can add stickers and stamps also. Once all of the blocks have been turned in, they will be used for a fun collage to display in the library. Don’t forget to add your name!

Artist August is here! Stop by the library between 10am-5pm to view our local artists’ talent. We are accepting submissions through the end of the week.

Dolly once said in an interview that Imagination Library was her best work, which means so much coming from an icon who shaped American culture and music across multiple generations and genres.

Dolly taught us to cherish books, encourage literacy and to never judge a book by its cover.

Choose a book today, despite the cover, and read it in Dolly’s honor. 🦋

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, 1,265 children in Cocke County find a book in the mailbox, because of neighbors LIKE YOU who fund it. Since 2001, this community has seen 5,895 children graduate on their fifth birthday. What a fantastic legacy!
