Parsons Volunteer Fire Department Fire department for Parsons and the local area. Parsons Volunteer Fire Department (PVFD) is located in Parsons, Tucker County, West Virginia.

We are 35 volunteer members strong, with a proud history of volunteer fire and rescue service. Parsons is an incorporated city at the headwaters of the Cheat River. PVFD is one of the four volunteer fire departments that service Tucker County. PVFD’s service area is the total low land river valley area and is the largest first due coverage area of the four departments. PVFD’s response area is in t

hree parts: the city limits, within a six mile radius of the limits and the outlying areas. PVFD's coverage area is approximately, a geographical rectangle of 21 miles by 14 miles. Our service area will soon include a large stretch of four lane highway, named Corridor H, connecting Interstate 79 with I-81 in Virginia. PVFD has a fleet of 2 engines, 1 tanker, light duty rescue truck, utility truck and 2 personnel carriers.
