Carol Turek had a birthday, and she was recognized with a cake. Everyone was happy to see Carol as she had been unable to come to the center because of illness. We wish her a Happy Birthday and better health.

2026 County Wide Picnic! The rain kept us from having it outside but that didn’t stop us from having a great time singing and having a good time! We want to thank Meg Buddingh, Kevin and Becky Arbogast along with Don Nestor and Cheryl for being our entertainment !

Senior Center Picnic will be August 3 at Mill Race Park in Parsons. We will eat around 11:30. Entertainment and socialization will be from 1030 until lunch.

We celebrated July birthdays at the center. Happy birthday to our good friend Linda Bonner!! Thanks to Nancy Dotson for baking the cake! We are blessed!

July Outpost 2026: We would like to thank Jim King and wife Janice for providing the entertainment. Jim had made his own guitar and it was beautiful! We had a great meal and lots of good fellowship!

We celebrated Americas 250th birthday this week along with Norman Varner’s birthday! Happy 4th of July!!

We celebrated Fathers Day Today! Our director Tim Turner read some verses from the Bible concerning Father’s, The Goldenaires sang different hymns, Meg Buddingh sang Daddy’s Hands and Silver Haired Daddy of Mine. Kenny Knotts was awarded oldest Father at the center as well. We all sang Happy Birthday to Betty Knotts! Happy Father’s Day!!

June Outpost 2026. Our Director, Tim Turner, announced that Carl Feather had graciously donated his new book, “Wandering Tucker County West Virginia” to our Senior Citizens. We then watched a couple of videos that were made by Mr. Feather as well. (Aurora Pike and Blackwater Falls National Park.) Tim then brought up some gospel songs from various singing groups such as, The Goodmans, Speers Family, The Inspirations, Alan Jackson, The Cathedrals and Jim & Jesse and the Virginia Boys. We would like to thank Carl Feather for his special book. We are blessed!
