🍎 First Grade Had an Apple-Tastic Day! 🍎

Our first graders enjoyed an apple-tastic day as we integrated reading, social studies, math, and science into our learning about folktales! We explored the story of Johnny Appleseed and then brought our learning to life by making homemade applesauce.
Students voted for their favorite apple, learned the steps to making applesauce, and got right to work peeling, cutting, and mashing apples. It was a hands-on learning experience filled with teamwork, discovery, and lots of apple fun! 🍏🍎

🔬🎃 Teacher Shout-Out! 🎃💡

A huge shout-out to our amazing teacher Ms. Nandlal, for bringing science to life for our students! 👏✨ Our students learned all about light and how it refracts, and they even got to do a fun hands-on experiment that made their pumpkins “disappear” in the water! 🎃💧

We love seeing our students engaged, curious, and excited to learn through hands-on activities! Thank you for making science fun and memorable! 🧪🙌

We are so grateful to the amazing speakers who visited our school to teach our students about the many exciting topics connected to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! 🐄🌾 From agriculture and livestock to the traditions and educational opportunities of the Rodeo, our students had the chance to learn, explore, and make meaningful connections beyond the classroom.
