Beginning October 1, 2026, Pasadena’s Annual General Adjustment (AGA) for rent-stabilized units will be 2.5%. The Pasadena Rental Housing Board (PRHB) adopted the new rate at its June 18, 2026, meeting, setting the limit for lawful rent increases from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.

The City will host a 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Ceremony on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall Centennial Square.

Hosted by our Fire and Police Departments, this ceremony will honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and recognize the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who responded that day.

PORT is proud to celebrate not one, but two incredible success stories in just one week!

Our first success story is a wonderful gentleman and Pasadena native who was determined to overcome some major obstacles. He took an active role in the process and did much of the legwork needed to make his transition successful. Through a wonderful collaboration with Friends In Deed, he was able to secure housing and successfully move into his new apartment.

PORT would also like to give a special thank-you to Reggie, a staff member at Jackie Robinson Park, for referring him to our team and helping connect him with the support he needed.

Our second success story is Tonya. Through a great collaboration with Union Station Homeless Services, Tonya was able to secure permanent housing. She, too, took an active role in her journey and worked hard to make her goals a reality. And she didn’t stop there—Tonya also secured a full-time job as a caregiver!

PORT is incredibly proud of both individuals and their determination, perseverance, and commitment to creating a brighter future for themselves.

Congratulations to both of our success stories! Your hard work inspires us all.

The Pasadena Outreach Response Team (PORT) is a collaboration between the City of Pasadena Fire and Public Health Departments, and Union Station Homeless Services.

Participate in your local government on a new night! Starting in September, Pasadena City Council meetings will move to Tuesdays, with Special Meetings occurring on September 15 and September 29. This will give residents a new opportunity to stay informed, engage with their local government, and make their voices heard on the issues that matter to them.

City Council meetings play an important role in shaping Pasadena’s future, with discussions and decisions including Fire Department emergency upgrades, road and sidewalk safety, homelessness solutions, carbon-free energy by 2030, the strategic plan for economic development, and more!

Residents are encouraged to participate by attending meetings in person or remotely (via Zoom), reviewing meeting agendas, or providing public comment.
