Big congratulations to several of Ms. Cheryl Phillippi’s 6th grade students who can now add published author to their list of accomplishments! Their creative writing talents were showcased in the Young Writers “Spook Squad: Fictional Fun” edition, and we could not be more proud.

Seeing our students turn imagination into published work is a reminder that talent, hard work, and creativity shine bright at our school. Keep writing, keep dreaming, and keep making us proud! 📚😍

Brains were in full competition mode this weekend!

Our A+ Academics Team showed up on Saturday ready to think fast, collaborate, and compete with confidence. From start to finish, they represented NSMS with pride, determination, and true intellectual grit.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work, preparation, and the way they rose to the challenge—proving that excellence isn’t just on the field, it’s in the classroom too.

Isabella Huerta- grade 6- represents a 5th place finish in the Maps & Charts competition.

This morning members of our student council and honor society joined the Galveston Bay Foundation and other volunteers at Bay Area Park for Trash Bash! Trash Bash is the largest, single-day waterway cleanup across Texas.

Making their way around Bay Area Park, they picked up trash but also had opportunities to have fun together!
