Traveling to a World Cup game, concert, or large event in California? Plan ahead—protect yourself in those big crowds!

Stay up to date on flu, COVID‑19, RSV, and especially MMR (measles) vaccines before travel or attending big events—measles is extremely contagious and lingers in the air.

Large events bring people close together—vaccines are your best protection and help keep outbreaks away.

Schedule your immunizations right away and pack quality masks (N95/KN95) for indoor spaces and transit.

Stay travel-smart—let’s cheer safely! 🎉

The ticks that transmit Lyme disease are found in California, the Midwest and along the East Coast. If you’re traveling in any of these areas, be prepared for ticks when you go outdoors:

- Apply tick repellent from the waist down.

- Check for ticks after spending time in grassy areas and sitting on rocks or logs.

- Shower soon after returning indoors to wash away any ticks.

This Healthy and Safe Swimming Week, keep water safety top of mind. Prevent drowning by always keeping new or inexperienced swimmers and young children within arm’s reach when swimming or around water.

Keep kids safe in the water! Drowning is quick and can happen in just 20 to 60 seconds. Assign a sober, distraction-free “Water Watcher” anytime children are swimming, and switch watchers every 20 minutes to stay alert and focused.

If you’re the “Water Watcher” that means:
- No alcohol
- No phones
- No reading
- No drugs
