As we launch a new school year, our team is energized, aligned, and ready to move the mission forward, creating meaningful learning experiences and opening doors to brighter futures for the students and families we serve.

Librarians had an incredible day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration at our Districtwide Librarian Staff Development Day! 📚✨

Together, our librarians from across the district came together to share ideas, strengthen our practice, celebrate successes, and focus on what matters most, our students. Through meaningful conversations, professional learning, and collaborative planning, we reaffirmed our commitment to moving our mission forward.

Fabulous day of collaborating and learning with fellow PISD education leaders at Rice University. We had an amazing opportunity to attend a free
workshop on Building a Culture of Research. This workshop explored how research and data can drive stronger programs and improve student outcomes. We learned strategies for fostering a research-driven culture, using AI responsibly, collaborating with peers to solve challenges, and developing actionable plans for evidence-based decisions. We left excited and ready to translate these learning experiences into meaningful action across our respective roles.

In June, we learn, grow, and get inspired! Librarian and teacher training is underway in the L&IM Department. PISD librarians and L & IM staff are hitting the mark 🎯by sharing their expertise, resources, lessons, activities, and technology skills. Participants have been many and they are leaving with practical ideas ready to implement for the new school year.
