Police are asking for the public's help to identify a man in connection with a bank robbery in Ellicott City.

Howard County police said the man robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in the 9200 block of Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City around 4:43 p.m. Aug. 3.

Investigators said the man approached a teller and demanded money. The teller complied and the man fled.

Police describe the man as Asian, 20 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall, with a thin build and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, black sandals and sunglasses.

No one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-STOP. A reward of up to $1,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

Anne Arundel County police said they are investigating two armed robberies.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Easton Street in Laurel for an armed robbery at 12:18 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim told police a man approached her in the parking area of an apartment complex and placed a knife to her back and stole items she was carrying. He ran away, police said.

Officers, including K-9 and aviation, canvassed the area, but were unable to find the man.

The robber is described as a black man, 5 feet 6 inches tall, a small build, in his early 20s, with Afro-style hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.

Officers were also called to the 7-Eleven store at 2616 Annapolis Road in Severn for a reported armed robbery around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said that two men approached a clerk and forced him to open the store register. The pair took cash and stole several packs of ci******es before leaving.

Officers and K-9 searched the area, but did not find the pair.

Police said the robbers were wearing white and black face masks, black clothing and armed with handguns.

Detectives with Maryland State Police are asking for help identifying the man who robbed a bank in Churchville Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect, believed to be in his late 20s to mid 30s, accosted employees and demanded cash at the BB&T on Churchville Road at approximately 3 p.m., police said.

Authorities said the suspect left on foot from the bank in the 2900 block of Churchville Road.

The suspect was described as 5’9” tall with a medium build and was wearing a red fleece jacket, black hat, tan pants and black shoes.
A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information about the suspect.
