Your Labor Day plans are a lot more expensive this year. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith made sure of it.

Airfare is up 25.4% from a year ago. Gasoline is up 24.5%. Tomatoes climbed 12.7%. Hot dogs and fresh vegetables are both up 6.2%. There is not a single item on the Labor Day cookout table that costs less than it did last year.

Senator Hyde-Smith voted against ending the emergency tariffs on Canada and has backed legislation built around new tariffs on Chinese goods. Tariffs are a tax, and that tax shows up right where Mississippi families feel it most, at the pump, at the grill, and at the checkout line.

Mississippi Democrats are for trade policy that protects paychecks instead of padding costs, and for leaders who feel the price of gas and groceries the same way the rest of us do.

This November, vote for Mississippi Democrats for Congress who will fight for your wallet, not tariffs that empty it.
