Wrapping up a few more fire prevention events last week… We visited the Vancleave Lower Elementary School, Jack & Jill Preschool, and the Big Point Methodist Church to continue on our fire safety discussions with our kiddos to help keep them safe! Thanks again to all the faculty and staff for inviting us out and also to our firefighters for their continued efforts to invest in our children!

Today in fire prevention brought us to Temple Baptist Church in Big Point and the Vancleave Headstart! Getting out of the house and staying out is important for kids to know and under no circumstances should they ever reenter if a home is on fire. Toys and plushies can be replaced, but our children cannot! We had fun spending time with these kids today! Thanks for having us out!

Today’s fire prevention event brought us to First Baptist Church of Vancleave! We try to teach our kids the importance of sleeping with their bedroom doors closed as well as if there’s smoke in their home to get low and stay low below the smoke if they’re trying to get out of their house. Thanks to the wonderful staff for having us out today!

Our last visit for the week brought to visit Future Scholars’ second location in St. Martin today! We had some good volunteers to help us demonstrate stop, drop, and roll! Another great day of fire prevention! Thanks to the faculty and staff for having us out!

If you had plans to burn this weekend, we’d strongly suggest to reconsider. Weather conditions will be very favorable for potential wildfires.

Our fire prevention events today brought us to the preschoolers at Future Scholars Learning Center in St. Martin, the Life Skills class at St. Martin Upper Elementary, and the preschoolers at Magnolia Springs AOG in Hurley. As always, we’re always happy to see the smiles on these children’s faces when we visit! We try to let them see and interact with our firefighters in their gear in the hopes of not being scared to see us if there’s ever a fire in their home. Thanks to all the faculty and staff for allowing us to visit!

We visited the preschoolers at In The Zone of St. Martin and Little Hornets Learning Academy in Hurley today. As always, it’s great to see and spend time with these kids! Thanks to the staff for having us come out and thanks to our firefighters for investing time to spend with these smiling faces!

Today’s fire prevention event took us to the Full Life Christian Academy! Our firefighters discussed good fire safety practices, including what to do if there’s a fire in your house, stop drop and roll, and much more! As always, thanks to the faculty and staff for having us out and thanks to all the kids for being very attentive today!
