UPDATE - As of 9:30 pm, 07/16/2026, the Juniper Dunes Level 3 Evacuation is lifted. The fire is under control and contained. The fire has been turned over to the US Wildland Fire Service, who will be monitoring and patrolling over the next few days.

There is an immediate threat from a wildland fire in the Juniper Dunes Off-road Vehicle (ORV) / Off Highway Vehicle (OHV)area. Local officials are requesting the following area be advised of a Level 3 Go NOW Evacuation for the Juniper Dunes Off Highway Vehicle area . A level 3 evacuation means go now. There is an immediate threat in this area. Gather your family and pets and leave this area immediately. Update, as of 0900, 06/17/2026, the Level 2 Evacuation has been dropped for the area near Juniper Dunes, specifically, starting on the P- K (Pasco-Kahlotus) Highway from and including, the intersection with Murphy road to Snake River Road, Snake River Road from P K Highway to Blackman Ridge Road, Blackman Ridge Road from Snake River Road to Rye Grass Coulee Road, Rye Grass Coulee Road from Blackman Ridge Road to Elm Road, Elm Road from Rye Grass Coulee Road to Samuel Brown Trail, from the intersection of Elm Road and Samuel Brown Trail, following the perimeter of irrigated lands south to the Juniper Dunes Road, Including all properties on both sides of this boundary.

There will still be active fire fighting response in the Juniper Dunes area. Stay tuned to local media, social media and other sources to stay informed on the current status of the fire.
