Road Maintenance Matters!
Maintaining our roads is one of the best investments we can make in our city. Regular maintenance helps extend the life of our roads and can save taxpayers significant money compared to waiting until reconstruction is necessary. As our city continues to grow, our infrastructure is aging. It’s important that we stay proactive and keep up with maintenance before small problems become expensive ones. Investing in maintenance today helps us protect our infrastructure, save money in the long run, and keep our growing city moving forward.

Here are some upcoming road maintenance projects that are starting today:
• W. Wernett Road — Road 62 to Road 56
• W. Wernett Road — Road 38 to Road 32
• Road 36 — W. Wernett Road to I-182
• Road 60 — W. Melville Road to W. Agate Street
• Road 48 — W. Court Street to W. Margaret Street
Crews will generally be working 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please plan for possible delays and give crews plenty of room to work safely.

A little maintenance now can save a lot of money down the road.

Starting today, City of Pasco Streets crews are fog sealing several streets that recently received chip seal as part of our Pavement Preservation Project.

Fog sealing adds a protective layer over the new chip seal, helping seal the pavement from water and weather, extend the life of the roadway and protect the investment we've already made. By maintaining streets before they need major repairs or reconstruction, we can stretch pavement dollars further and keep more Pasco streets in good condition.

Work is expected to take up to four business days, weather permitting, on:

• W. Wernett Road — Road 62 to Road 56
• W. Wernett Road — Road 38 to Road 32
• Road 36 — W. Wernett Road to I-182
• Road 60 — W. Melville Road to W. Agate Street
• Road 48 — W. Court Street to W. Margaret Street

Crews will generally work from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents will continue to have access to their homes, but temporary traffic changes are expected.

Here is some more clarification on Hapo Center from our Franklin County Administrator. Thank you Mr. Dansel for your transparency and information.

Rumorvillle is running on overdrive today regarding a possible casino at Hapo Center and many assumptions are happening. Some of the same 3 questions have come to me already so let’s answer them. Hopefully this brings some clarification.

Why is City Council deciding this?
- We are not, this is a Franklin County decision. The Hapo Center and surrounding area is owned by Franklin County. The commissioners will decide this.

Why isn’t the City doing anything about this?
- We are trying, an offer of around 15 million has been presented to Franklin County and we are waiting on a response.

Why does City of Pasco want a casino in Rd 68 area?
- We don’t, City of Pasco desires to keep this area as a sporting complex.
