At Pass Christian Fire Department, safety is more than a priority—it's a responsibility we share every day.

National Safety Month is a great reminder to take simple steps that can help prevent accidents and protect our families, neighbors, and community. Whether at home, at work, or on the road, small actions can make a big difference.

✅ Test your smoke alarms and replace batteries if needed
✅ Review your family’s emergency plan
✅ Check fire extinguishers and ensure they are accessible
✅ Practice safe driving and avoid distractions behind the wheel
✅ Stay aware of potential hazards around your home and workplace

Our firefighters are committed to keeping Pass Christian safe, but safety starts with all of us working together.

A Flood Advisory is now in effect for All of Harrison County Pass Christian, Long Beach, Gulfport, Biloxi, D'Iberville.

A flood advisory means that minor or nuisance flooding could occur. Minor flooding of low-lying areas and paved surfaces is ongoing, or expected to begin. Allow extra time for travel, reduce driving speeds, and avoid any flooded areas. Turn around, don’t drown. Report flooding conditions to EMA at 228-865-4002.

Rain or shine, A Shift puts in the work. Today, A Shift spent time training on hose advancement, sharpening skills and staying prepared for real-world fireground conditions. Emergencies don’t stop for bad weather, and neither do we. Training in any conditions helps ensure our crews are ready to operate safely and effectively when the call comes in.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, let us remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is a day to honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy today, and we must never forget them.

Please take a moment to reflect and honor those who never made it home.

The Cecil R. Ruddock Memorial VFW Post 5931 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:00 AM at War Memorial Park on Fleitas Avenue. We invite the community to join us in paying tribute to our fallen heroes.
