As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, let us remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day is a day to honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy today, and we must never forget them.

Please take a moment to reflect and honor those who never made it home.

The Cecil R. Ruddock Memorial VFW Post 5931 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at 10:00 AM at War Memorial Park on Fleitas Avenue. We invite the community to join us in paying tribute to our fallen heroes.

β€œGreater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸš” CLICK IT OR TICKET | MAY 18–31, 2026 πŸš”

From May 18 through May 31, 2026, the Pass Christian Police Department and law enforcement agencies nationwide will participate in the Click It or Ticket campaign to increase seat belt enforcement and help reduce serious injuries and fatalities caused by unbelted crashes.

Seat belts save lives β€” simple as that. Wearing your seat belt is one of the easiest and most effective ways to protect yourself and your passengers on the road.

βœ… Buckle up every trip
βœ… Make sure all passengers are properly restrained
βœ… Secure children in the correct car seat or booster seat

Drivers and passengers not wearing seat belts may face citations and fines during this enforcement period. More importantly, they risk preventable injuries and loss of life.

Don’t take chances when it comes to safety.
