We lost a friend and the world lost a talented writer and a very kind man on May 7th.

Please stop by the library to check out a book and write a note that we'll share with his family.

A "not to be missed" event. Feb 21st at 1 PM at the Tin Shed. A fireside chat with Todd Goddard, the author of the Jim Harrison bio and our very own Lars Marshall. Books will be available for purchase at the event thanks to our friends at the Patagonia Trading Post

Per Foreword Reviews: "Devouring Time is a meticulous, loving biography of one of the twentieth century’s most exuberant literary personalities." Goodreads says: "Based on more than one hundred original interviews and drawing upon Harrison’s collected papers, Devouring Time is the first and only literary biography of this beloved author, whose playful, irreverent, and spiritual work continues to find and delight new listeners."

Thanks to our friends at Borderlands Restoration Network, we now have three copies of the magazine available. Stop by to check one out and read about them and a few of our other local heroes. Per the photographer Jaime Rojo "The idea behind this story was simple: to understand how wildlife moves through a landscape increasingly fragmented by the border wall and other human-made infrastructure and how a group of conservationists on both sides of the border is doing the impossible work of keeping this region wild." https://www.facebook.com/reel/1187021363551059

Join Russ McSpadden for a poetry reading and conversation celebrating his new book Borderlings. Through verse and reflection, Russ explores life, love, and resistance in the San Rafael Valley—and his frontline advocacy against the border wall. A powerful event at the intersection of poetry and place.
