Our crews have already tackled challenging scenarios involving tight spaces, barriers, fallen trees, and other obstacles. This time, training focused on vehicle extrication when a vehicle is submerged in water.

Different scenarios, different challenges, but the same goal: being prepared when every second counts!

The best time to prepare for an emergency is long before the call ever comes in!

At West Licking Joint Fire District, we’re incredibly thankful for the dedicated training grounds right here at Station 402!

What was once a property used for another purpose has been transformed into a valuable resource for our firefighters and the communities we serve.

From vehicle extrication and water rescue to search and rescue scenarios and hands-on emergency response exercises, our training grounds provide opportunities to sharpen skills in realistic environments.

With a dedicated training house, extrication pad, pond, and specialized training facilities, having these resources on-site allows our crews to train regularly and prepare for a wide variety of emergencies.

Every hour spent training is an investment in the safety of our community. And that’s something we’re grateful for every day!
