Auxiliary Police officers assisted with traffic control and runner safety during the 4th Annual student-led “Using Our Voices” Mental Health Run Series.

The event is grounded in the belief that students should be part of the change process, with true inclusivity achieved through active student engagement.

What began as a local initiative has now expanded to include four school districts: Patchogue-Medford, North Babylon, Connetquot, and New Hyde Park.

Funds raised through the event help support students across Long Island by providing counseling opportunities, fostering leadership skills, encouraging collaboration between districts, and empowering students to contribute to an important cause centered around mental health awareness and support.

Members of the Auxiliary Police were on hand to assist with road closures and lead runners during the annual Race to End Addiction.

The event raises funds for Hope House Ministries, an organization at the forefront of the fight against addiction on Long Island.

The race also serves to bring awareness, compassion, and support to those impacted by addiction while highlighting the important work being done on the front lines to help individuals and families in need.
