Poor fella tripped, now we gotta rip the face off...
Ok, that was more creepy than halloween-spooky. Anyway, the dry fire sprinkler system above is isolated and drained down due to a false trip. These models don't have an external reset so you must take off the faceplate to reset the latching mechanism. Frankly, if I was investigating a valve with an external reset for false-trips, that faceplate is coming off regardless. It is important to ensure the internals are in good working order.

The Good Ol' Exhauster. This one is malfunctioning and the system itself is in need of some upgrades, so it will be demo'd and sent off to the Fire Protection Graveyard. If any of y'all Fire Sprinkler guys remember... setting these monstrosities up was always a nightmare 😂.
