Due to strong interest, NJCDC has extended the application deadline for the Paterson Youth Council to ๐‰๐ฎ๐ง๐ž ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—.

If you're a Paterson teen (ages 15โ€“18) who wants to develop leadership skills, make a difference in your community, explore colleges, travel to major cities, and connect with other young leaders, we want to hear from you.

Creativity in action!

Art students from International High School recently gathered at the Great Falls Teen Center with members of the National Park Service to contribute artwork for "America Untold", a community art project that highlights the lesser-known stories of Paterson and American history.

Weโ€™re proud to see these young artists using their creativity to explore local history and share stories that deserve to be told. Keep an eye out for their work at the upcoming community showcase at the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park!

Join us on Friday, June 26 for the next installment of our FREE monthly concert series, ๐˜ผ๐™ก๐™ก ๐™๐™๐™ž๐™จ ๐™…๐™–๐™ฏ๐™ฏ.

As the Parker Cheek Quartet prepares for the release of Cheek's debut album, the group brings a fresh perspective to the jazz tradition through original music, inventive arrangements, and the creative energy of four rising artists. Led by trumpeter Parker Cheek and featuring Paterson's own Ahmod Bradley on bass, alongside Brook Mulugeta on keyboard, and Chris Paredes on drums, the quartet offers a glimpse of jazz's next chapter.

Elementary students celebrated on campus while middle schoolers headed to Pennington Park for a day packed with excitement. Students participated in football, basketball, soccer, kickball, and volleyball, along with several other games, for an unforgettable day of teamwork, laughter, and school spirit.

This month, NJCDC's Gabby Foushee was recognized as a Paterson Alliance Extra Mile Award honoree for her years of dedication to Paterson students, families, and the AmeriCorps members she mentors each year.

In our latest blog, we celebrate Gabby's recognition and look at how NJCDC's AmeriCorps program continues to make a difference across Paterson โ€” from supporting families year-round to bringing together 120 youth volunteers for Global Youth Service Day.
