This past Saturday, more than 100 youth volunteers took part in NJCDC’s Global Youth Service Day (GYSD)! 💙

From beautifying William Carlos Williams Plaza with landscaping and planters to clearing garbage and debris from local neighborhoods, Paterson youth came together to make a real impact. Volunteers also prepared “success kits” for Paterson 4th graders as they get ready to transition to middle school.

A powerful reminder of how much young people can accomplish in just one day. Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers for showing up for Paterson!

Congratulations to Dr. Gabrielle Foushee, Director of the AmeriCorps Program at New Jersey Community Development Corporation, on receiving the Paterson Alliance Extra Mile Award! 👏

Gabrielle’s dedication and leadership continue to make a lasting impact across the City of Paterson. From welcoming and mentoring up to 30 AmeriCorps members each year to leading our annual holiday toy drive, where upwards of 7,000 toys are distributed to local families, she consistently goes above and beyond for our community.

We truly appreciate Gabrielle for always going the extra mile. Congratulations to all the honorees! 💙
