Another outstanding weekend at the Passaic County Fair! To top it all off, we had record voter turnout for our "I Voted" sticker contest. The results are in and they will be announced next month at the September County Commissioner's meeting. All finalists and winners will be notified. Stay tuned! 😊

Join us at the Passaic County Fair this weekend and vote for your favorite "I Voted" sticker design submissions. We received design submissions from talented young artists, grades K-8, all 16 municipalities throughout the county. While it was a tough decision, the choices have been narrowed down to the top 3-4 finalists in each age group and we want YOU, the voters to decide the winners!! Don't miss your opportunity to see democracy work at the earliest age for our youngest, most excited citizens! Stop by the Superintendent of Elections booth at the Passaic County Fair and VOTE for your favorite "I Voted" stickers!!

The Passaic County Fair is open from Thursday, August 13 to Sunday, August 16 at Garret Mountain Reservation. The hours are:

Thursday August 13: 6 PM – 11 PM (Wristband Night)
Friday August 14: 6 PM – 11 PM
Saturday August 15: 3 PM – 11 PM
Sunday August 16: 3 PM – 11 PM

Are Samoas your favorite Girl Scout cookie? If so, you would have voted with the majority during last weekend's "Voter Girl" event. The Voter Girl Project, sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and The League of Women Voters, provided its young participants with an opportunity to further understand the importance of voting, civic engagement and leadership. It was a wonderful day for our young ladies who connected with elected officials, community leaders, used real voting equipment to cast their votes and finished their day with a trip to City Hall!
