UPDATE: Debris associated with the launch vehicle anomaly may wash ashore in publicly accessible areas along Florida's coastline over the coming days and weeks. Launch vehicle debris may be hazardous, and members of the public should not touch, move, or attempt to recover any suspected debris.

Individuals who encounter suspected debris are encouraged to report it to Blue Origin's Wreckage Management Hotline at 321-222-4355 or by email at [email protected]. Trained personnel will assess and coordinate appropriate recovery actions.

If the debris presents an immediate threat to public safety, such as being located in a heavily populated area, being handled by members of the public, or creating another urgent hazard, individuals should contact 911 and the Wreckage Management Hotline.

The public is encouraged to use good judgment and maintain a safe distance from any suspected debris until it can be evaluated by appropriate authorities.

CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION, Fla. – A Blue Origin New Glenn rocket experienced an anomaly at approximately 9:00 p.m. during a hotfire test at Space Launch Complex 36.

Emergency responders are on the scene. All personnel have been accounted for and there were no injuries/fatalities.

Range officials, in coordination with Blue Origin and appropriate partners, are currently evaluating available data to determine the exact cause of the anomaly.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

The Eastern Range remains fully mission capable for National Security Space Launch and continues to support operations at all other launch complexes.

The Eastern Range serves as a Department of War test and training range supporting critical development, testing, evaluation, and launch activities that advance national security and space capabilities. These operations often involve developmental systems and emerging technologies, and the
nature of such testing carries inherent risk, including the potential for anomalies.

Space Launch Delta 45 remains committed to ensuring the safety of personnel, protecting critical infrastructure, and supporting continued access to space for the nation.

🔁 🚀 Launch Pad Playback 🚀 🔁

Since last week, the Eastern Range has supported:
•Starlink 10-31
•Starlink 10-47

These missions help increase the number of satellites in orbit and serve to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet. This increase in satellites assists in expanding the reach of internet access.

🌊 🦈 Shark of the Week🦈 🌊

Congratulations to SSgt Kristofer Moody with the 45th Weather Squadron!

With 14 years in the Air Force, Moody serves as Weather Range Ops Shift Supervisor.

He leads a team of 12 Airmen who deliver 24/7 meteorological support for the Department of Defense, NASA and commercial partners across the 15 million-square-mile Eastern Range. He oversees 6,700 forecasts and alerts each year that protect 26,000 personnel and $8.8 billion in space launch assets.

Moody secured a key five-hour window for Trident weapons loading by spotting a storm early. He directed weather support for a base-wide hurricane exercise and issued timely severe weather warnings that prevented damage across multiple installations.

A proud father of two, he excels both in uniform and as a dedicated family man.

Way to go, Moody!

Not All Superheroes Wear Capes

Space Launch Delta 45, at Patrick Space Force Base, serves as the host base and enables mission success for all Team Patrick tenants, including the 920th Rescue Wing.

Earlier this week, Airmen from the 920th Rescue Wing rescued 11 survivors from a downed aircraft in the Atlantic Ocean off Florida's coast. This rapid response shows the strength of our team.

As the host base, Space Launch Delta 45 provides critical support that allows tenant units like the 920th to train relentlessly and answer the call at a moment's notice.

Together, all Team Patrick units deliver on their promise of excellence every day.
