PreK teacher Laura Albright and assistant Nicole Arney truly outdid themselves by creating unforgettable holiday memories for our youngest learners.

From adorable wooden snowmen cut to each child’s height (complete with their own handprint and thumbprint) to making hot cocoa and even a special visit from Santa, these sweet moments had our PreK students smiling from ear to ear.

Creating a warm, joyful, and positive PreK experience is so important. These early years help build confidence, spark a love for learning, and set the tone for a successful school career. We are so grateful for the care, creativity, and love poured into our littlest learners each day.

Cozy jammies are the best way to kick off our last day of school before Christmas Break!

Our PES Good Citizens were celebrated in the most cool way possible! Students who earned their Good Citizen Party enjoyed delicious “Snowballs” (a.k.a. scoops of vanilla ice cream) piled high with a festive variety of sprinkles 🍨✨

After dessert, the room filled with holiday cheer as our Good Citizens belted out Christmas favorites during a joyful Sing-Along! From “Jingle Bells” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” to “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” and the ever-fun “Must Be Santa,” the voices (and smiles!) were shining bright 🎶🎄

A huge THANK YOU to the PES PTO for providing the ice cream and toppings and helping make this celebration extra sweet.

Way to go, Good Citizens! You’ve earned every sprinkle! ⭐👏

The holiday fun is continuing at PES! ❄️

Festive dress-up days like “Santa’s Helper,” “Mad for Christmas Plaid,” and “Don’t Be a Grinch” have been a big hit with both students and staff this week.

Our PES staff members even discovered their Secret Elf names and proudly showed them off by wearing name tags. 🧝‍♀️🎅

PES students enjoyed a surprise movie complete with 🍿 popcorn…and the excitement isn’t over yet!

We’ll wrap up the week with an All-School Sing Along and fun Christmas parties. 🎶🎁

And because a positive school environment starts with appreciated staff, we treated ours to a cozy Hot Cocoa Bar. (Just a small thank you for all they do every day!)☕

Creating joyful moments like these helps build a positive school culture where students feel happy, connected, and excited to learn.

At PES, we believe learning should be meaningful and fun and the past week has been the perfect reminder of that! 🌟

🦊🐍 Get Wild at the Library! 🐊🐭

Our friends at the Owen County Public Library are bringing some very special guests to town!

Join them on Friday, January 2, 2026 in the Community Room for exciting animal presentations that you won’t want to miss.

Get a close-up look at some amazing animals like an Arctic Fox, chinchilla, or prairie dog.

Feeling brave? You might also meet a few reptiles, including an American Alligator and a Burmese Python! 😲

It's "Holiday Hair...Don't Care" Day at PES! 🎅🦌💡

Today’s the day when perfectly reasonable hairstyles took a vacation and pure festive chaos takes the stage!

We spotted blinking-light headbands bright enough to guide Santa’s sleigh, Santa hats tall enough to pick up their own Wi-Fi signal, and reindeer antlers that may or may not be a flight hazard.

We're pretty sure it was another great day at PES based on all of the smiling faces throughout the building!

Today’s Spirit Day theme was “Don’t Be a Grinch!”

We saw lots of GREEN throughout our school, but luckily there was no sign of the Grinch! Whew! 😅

Santa and Mrs. Claus agreed that our students and staff were on the GOOD LIST this year! 🌲

Thank you to our music teacher, Ms. Ulinski, our fabulous PTO, and the PES staff for a fantastic evening of Christmas festivities.
