Patten Fire Department is a municipal paid-per-call fire department that provides primary 911 emergency response for all fire-related incidents in the towns of Patten, Crystal, Hersey, and Moro. Patten Fire Department also provides mutual aid to the towns of Stacyville, Mount Chase, Sherman, Island Falls, and Oakfield. Patten Fire Department responds with Patten Ambulance Service to emergency medical calls as needed. Patten Fire is committed to protecting life and property through the services of fire prevention, fire suppression, motor vehicle stabilization and extrication, gas and odor investigations, and investigating utility problems. Are you interested in making a difference in your community? Patten Fire Department is in desperate need of new firefighters to help combat a shortage that is being encountered nationwide in small towns. Interested individuals must be of at least 16 years of age, live within Patten or a surrounding community, and be willing to join a team-oriented environment. Training is provided at no cost, and members will be compensated for all trainings, meetings, and emergency calls that he or she participates in. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend a monthly meeting. Monthly Meeting/ Training Schedule -Fire Training: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month -Station Duties/ Truck Checks: 2nd Tuesday of each month All trainings and station duties are held at the Patten Fire Department, located on 27 Dearborn Street in Patten. We meet in the upstairs of the fire department at 5:30 pm following the above schedule and welcome any interested individuals to attend.
