A Tribute Of Love...

Located in Union Township, town of Pattenburg, New Jersey. The Bethlehem Baptist Church is located just adjacent to Rt. 78 in the township. It has long been a focal point of history, and the ruins of the Church reminds us of the Church that once graced the property in the mid 1800’s. It is a place that makes you stop and pause, and reflect, given the amount of years that this spot has remained to be. I would hope this page may generate some new interest of the Historical significance of days past within our community here. We would also hope, that if anyone would like to volunteer at any time in keeping the grounds up. All these years the grounds have been kept beautifully with immense help from Douglas Martin and Family. His love and devotion for the grounds and his relatives that are buried at this spot, is very evident. He has devoted much time over the years, in keeping not only this graveyard in repair, but some other Hunterdon Graveyards as well. It’s a calling to preserve history of those that have been here before us. His dedication in doing so, is remarkable and noteworthy. We Thank him for his time, and his love of history, which he is always very generous in sharing. Some people make their mark in life, in a quiet manner...yet it does not go unnoticed. Thank You Doug. You have truly given much to us all. I look forward to lending you a hand when I can, and maybe we can encourage a few others to do the same.

Fondly, Marilyn Maas
