This morning Firefighter Tyler Bourdier graduated from the Louisiana State Fire and Emergency Training Academy. This is a strenuous 16 week program where you learn the basic skills to begin your career in the fire service. He will return and work as a full time firefighter with Morgan City Fire Dept. This is a great accomplishment for not only Tyler but for Patterson Fire Dept. as Tyler now has the following certifications, Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2 and Driver Operator. These certifications help with his skills and knowledge of the fire service and for the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL) rating. Tyler has been a member of Patterson Vol. Fire Dept for just over 9 years where he started as a junior member and worked through many scenes and situations that will assist him through his career.

Chief Scott Hutton and the members of Patterson Fire Dept would like to congratulate Tyler Boudier and wish him well as he begins his professional firefighting career.
