There have been 5 devastating hot car deaths before summer has even officially begun. 🚘💔

Parents — it takes less than a minute to build a life-saving routine:
🧸 Keep a stuffed animal in the front seat as a visual reminder
🎒 Leave an important item in the back seat so you have to check

Chief Garrett Grogan would like to commend Officer Suire and Officer Tezeno for taking the time during their nightly patrol to bring smiles to the faces of local children while enjoying a fun challenge race with them.

Moments like these help strengthen the positive relationship between law enforcement and the community we proudly serve. From the looks of it, the race was a close one — but most importantly, the kids had a great time and created memories they won’t forget!

The Patterson Police Department remains committed to building strong community partnerships through positive interaction, professionalism, and compassion.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Remembrance 🇺🇸

Chief Garrett Grogan and the Patterson Police Department proudly join communities across our nation in honoring the memory of the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in defense of our country.

Memorial Day is more than the start of summer—it is a time to reflect on the extraordinary sacrifices made by those who answered the call to serve and never returned home. Their unwavering courage, selflessness, and devotion to duty secured the freedoms we enjoy today.

As we gather with loved ones this holiday weekend, we encourage everyone to pause and remember the heroes who paid the ultimate price for our nation. May their legacy of honor and sacrifice continue to inspire future generations.

Today, we remember the fallen.
We honor their service.
We remain forever grateful.

“A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.”

🇺🇸 Never Forgotten. Forever Honored. 🇺🇸

TPSO SEEKING ARMED AND DANGEROUS SUSPECT FOLLOWING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INCIDENT

On May 22, 2026, shortly before 6:30 p.m., Deputies with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a local gas station in the Schriever area in reference to a disturbance.

Through further investigation, Authorities learned that a male, identified as Jordan WIlliams, allegedly forced an adult female and three small children, ranging in age from three months to four years old, into a vehicle at gunpoint in Thibodaux before traveling into Terrebonne Parish.

Authorities learned that while stopped at a gas station, the female was able to get back into the vehicle and attempted to flee the area with the children. As she attempted to leave, Williams allegedly fired a round into the vehicle. Although no one was struck, the bullet traveled through the backseat area where the three children were seated.

Detectives with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office have obtained arrest warrants for Williams; however, he has not yet been located. The Thibodaux Police Department is also expected to obtain warrants related to incidents that occurred within their jurisdiction.

During the course of the investigation, Detectives also learned Williams has numerous outstanding warrants through the Houma Police Department stemming from a previous incident involving the same female victim.

Williams is currently wanted on charges of four counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder, and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, in connection with the incident.

Williams is also being sought for numerous outstanding warrants through the Houma Police Department, in connection with Domestic Violence related charges.

Sheriff Tim Soignet said, “This incident involved an extreme level of violence that placed the lives of innocent children and their mother in danger. Our Detectives are working aggressively to locate this suspect, and we urge the public not to approach him under any circumstances.”

Williams should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 876-2500 or contact their nearest law enforcement agency immediately.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
