We are closely monitoring the severe weather forecast for the Southern Maryland region tomorrow, March 16. Current forecasts indicate the potential for strong thunderstorms, damaging winds and possible tornado activity from South Carolina through Maryland during the afternoon.

Employee safety is a priority. To provide flexibility as the weather develops, situational telework is authorized for civilian employees assigned to the NAS Pax River campus who have an approved telework agreement in place and are telework ready. Employees should coordinate with their supervisors regarding work expectations and mission requirements.

Contract employees should contact their company for specific guidance.

Updates on base operational status will be posted to NAS Pax River's social media feeds as the day progresses. Please stay aware of changing weather conditions and prioritize your safety.
