Congratulations to AM1 Stough and AM2 Sachleben being awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals for all their hard work and dedication to VXS-1 during their successful tours.
Also recognizing AME1 Grimm as out 2025 Maintainer of the Year. Job well done to all awardees.

On March 27th, 2026, the VXS-1 Warlocks will bid a farewell and following seas to CDR Levine. We are immensely grateful for his dedicated leadership and wish him the very best in PMA.

On this same day, we are proud to welcome CDR Vawter as our new Commanding Officer. We look forward to his leadership and the continued success of the squadron under his command. The entire Warlock family extends its sincere gratitude to both CDR Levine and CDR Vawter for their tireless efforts in making VXS-1 an outstanding squadron.

VXS-1 Warlocks had the wonderful pleasure of welcoming NRL CO CAPT Cruz to our squadron spaces to help congratulate our outstanding sailors; AD1 Springer, AWF1 Marriott and LS2 Satonobu. We also had the opportunity to recognize a few of our sailors and workforce for continuing their educations; AD1 Garza, AZ2 Hinman and Mr. Gardner. Lastly, CAPT Cruz had the chance to experience flying the Twin Otter/ UV-18 and logging some seat time with it.

VXS-1 Warlocks had a wonderful opportunity hosting the Naval Research Laboratory XO, CAPT Rice on Tuesday and showing her our great sailors and squadron. We also had the chance to give some of our great sailors and civilians some much needed recognition. Amazing jobs to AWV1 Adams, AZ1 Wilson and AT2 Monaghan for all your hard work and support here at VXS-1. Special shoutout to Stephen “Chewy” Rorke for being our Outstanding DoW Civilian Employee. Thank you for everything you all do here at Warlock Country.
