📚 Friday Staff Picks

This week's Staff Pick comes from Laura at the Cooper Community Library.

Laura's featured read is The Book Witch by Meg Shaffer.

"I loved how fast-paced it was. You never quite know what was going to happen next or who was real and who wasn't. It kept me guessing the whole way through!" — Laura

In this imaginative fantasy, a magical book witch can travel in and out of stories to protect them from being changed by an evil force determined to rewrite them. As the danger grows, she must step into beloved tales to keep their endings—and their magic—alive.

If you enjoy adventurous fantasy, unforgettable characters, and stories about the power of books, The Book Witch is a wonderful pick to add to your reading list.

📖 Stop by the Cooper Community Library and see why this enchanting novel earned Laura's Staff Pick of the Week! Happy reading! ✨

🍋📚 What an incredible Community Book Club! ✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us to discuss The Lemonade War and Theo of Golden! We had an amazing turnout, and it was wonderful to see our communities and villages represented so well.

Everyone came ready to share their thoughts on these fantastic books. Some of the discussion questions included:
đź’› Who was your favorite character and why?
đź“– What was your favorite scene in the book and why?
🌟 If there were a sequel focused on a character other than the main character, who would you want it to feature?

The atmosphere was filled with fresh lemon-inspired décor, featuring bright yellow and golden hues that perfectly celebrated both stories.

🎉 Congratulations to our prize drawing winners!
🍋 The Lemonade War Winner: Hudson Miller
✨ Theo of Golden Winner: Jen Thomas
